Founder and CEO of GymBeam
Dalibor Cicman is the founder and CEO of GymBeam, the largest Slovak e-commerce player in the health and fitness sector, headquartered in Košice. In an incredible span of just 9 years, he and his team have built the company from scratch into a business generating over €224 million in annual revenue.
However, his entrepreneurial journey began much earlier. From a young age, he was fascinated by technology and programming. At the age of 14, he started creating websites, and by 16—in 2003—he launched his first e-commerce project, EMI.sk, which became a pioneer of the Direct-to-Consumer (DTC) model in Central Europe. This project was successfully exited in 2014 as a mid-sized company with 50 employees and €5 million in revenue.
While studying at two universities simultaneously, he founded several other companies—some of which failed, but others became stable businesses that continue to operate today.
Since 2014, he has been fully dedicated to building GymBeam—an international D2C e-commerce company focused on a healthy lifestyle and fitness, which is now expanding across European markets.
